Monday - Weds at Edlesborough Primary School and Thurs & Fri at Dovery Academy

Y3 and Y4 Reading Gladiators
We love reading at Dovery!
Mrs Cavender runs a free Reading Gladiators After School Club on Mondays for Year 4 children and on Wednesdays for Year 3. This is a free after-school club.
Reading Gladiators is an award-winning book club for engaging readers and promoting sustained and thoughtful reading. In order to take part, children do not need to be proficient readers as we will be listening and sharing ideas, drawing and creating our own visual images from the book. There will be some expectation of reading together at home also and every child will be given a copy of the book. Once we have finished a book we will be able to share our ideas on the Reading Gladiators website for other children to read and enjoy.

Recorders CLUB
We love music at Dovery and currently have two Recorder Clubs.
Mrs Blessing runs a free Recorders Club for Year 3 & 4 on Friday lunchtimes from 12.15 – 12.30pm and Miss Pughe runs a free Beginner Recorders group for Year 2 and Year 3 on Friday lunchtimes from 12.40pm – 1pm. The children are making great progress!
Ukulele Lunchtime Club
Ukulele is a free and fun lunchtime activity for Year 4, where the children can enjoy learning and playing the ukulele. The club is run by Miss Pughe every Wednesday lunchtime from 12.45pm – 1.15pm.
Arts & Crafts Club
Time to get creative! This very popular club is on Mondays within our Stay and Play Club, after school from 3.30pm – 4.15pm and is run by Mrs Gill and Miss Dadhria. The children enjoy a range of arts and craft activities, developing their design and craft ideas and skills with the emphasis on fun!
Choir Club
Singing is an important part of life at our school and we encourage all children to participate on Tuesday mornings 9:00-9:15am. Choir is run by Mrs Blessing.
The children have opportunities to perform to the whole school during assemblies and at our termly Musical Morning.
Football Club
Run entirely by parent volunteers, Dovery Academy Football Club covers each year group from Reception through to Year 4.
We train on Saturdays at 9am to 10.30am for Year 1-4 and 9am-10am for Reception.
